NRC asked me to illustrate a series of articles about the boundries and limits of science. I received a list of subjects that would get articles in this series. One of the main challenges was creating a consistent way of illustrating all these completely different topics, showing that these are all part of the same story.
I created unity by using the samen mixed media techniques throughout this project. A combination of acrylic paintings and digital linework. To add more of a conceptional consistency I decided to use a quite literal example of boundries, the boundries of the earth, cliffs.
